Yeah, we are back to windows live writer – enough people complained so it is fixed!

Well I am  now doing the blog in a different blogger since Google will no longer support Windows Live Writer, the program I have been using for the last several years. So, I'm in a new learning curve trying to figure out how to duplicate my blogs from the past. This program is not as friendly and does not have the same features that Live Writer had - so not as easy to use.
Today we took the subway to the Intrepid Air & Space Museum where we scheduled a tour of the Space Shuttle Enterprise.

Aircraft Carrier Intrepid
Seperator

Launched in 1943, the aircraft carrier Intrepid fought in World War II, surviving five kamikaze attacks
and one torpedo strike. The ship later served in the Cold War and the Vietnam War. Intrepid also
served as a NASA recovery vessel in the 1960's.More than 50,000 men served on board Intrepid during
the ship's time in service, and more than 270 men made the ultimate sacrifice.
Intrepid was decommissioned in 1974. Intrepid is berthed on the Hudson River as the centerpiece of the
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
The museum was amazing and well presented. Although we have toured carriers in the past this was unique because it is actually a living history museum.

Not so sure about this blogger program since there are not options to place the pictures where I want or even to format differently.

We had a tour of the hangar and Space Shuttle Enterprise which was the prototype for all future shuttles with improvements. Our tour guide was excellent and despite the fact that we have been to both the Johnson Space Center and the Kennedy Space Center we learned a lot of new information from her about the space program.

I
It was a beautiful day so it was spending some time on the deck of the ship and enjoying the sun.

After touring the ship we took a walk 19 blocks to the Lincoln Center. Did I mention that although it was a beautiful day it was extremely humid!!! The walk to the Lincoln Center turned out to be brutal in the sun. When we arrived there was a graduation in progress so we weren't sure if they were still doing tours. They were and we took advantage of the opportunity.
Unfortunately, there was no pictures allowed inside so I grabbed a couple off the internet.

Incredibly the tour lasted over two hours and was presented by  very interesting former lightening director at the center.
By 6:30 pm we were ready to head back home. Ron and I have gotten accomplished at figuring out the subway system so were able to get back to the PATH train that would take us to Jersey City via the NYC subway system without difficulty. It took over an hour to get back then we had to walk back to the CG. All in all it was a good day for us here in NYC.
I guess I will get used to this new blogger sooner or later but I don't really like how it looks once it is posted
